Description

A high-capacity hydraulic floor jack designed for lifting heavy SUVs, full-size pickup trucks, large vans, and light commercial vehicles. The 4-ton (8,000 lb / 3,629 kg) rating provides a robust safety margin for heavier personal and light commercial vehicles.

How It Works
It uses a hydraulic piston and pump system, activated by a long handle, to lift a large, stable saddle. It rolls on durable wheels/casters for positioning under axles or frame rails.

Key Design & Specs

Capacity: 4 Tons (8,000 lbs). Ideal for vehicles in the 5,000-7,000 lb range.

Construction: Heavy-duty welded steel frame, wide base for stability, large reinforced saddle.

Lift Range: Typically features a low starting height (~5 inches) to clear solid axles and a high maximum lift (18-22 inches) for ample workspace.

Weight & Portability: Substantial weight (60-100 lbs), but often includes a handle lift point for two-person movement. Built for shop durability.

Primary Applications

Full-Size Trucks & SUVs: Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, large SUVs.

Heavy-Duty Vans & Light Commercial Vehicles.

Large Sedans & Performance Cars (with high clearance).

Equipment Trailers, Riding Lawn Tractors, ATV/UTV Maintenance.

Critical Safety & Operating Rules

LIFT ONLY, NEVER SUPPORT: ABSOLUTELY NEVER get under a vehicle supported only by this jack. Use as the first step to raise the vehicle, then immediately place 4T-rated (or higher) jack stands under the frame/axle before any work.

Lift on Approved Points Only: Use only on the vehicle’s structurally reinforced lift points (solid axles, frame rails, or factory lift pads). Never lift on the differential housing, suspension components, or body panels.

Solid, Level Ground Required: Use only on clean, level, and solid concrete. Asphalt can fail under the concentrated load.

Ensure Stability: Center the saddle perfectly on the lift point. Pump slowly and watch for any vehicle shift or jack tilt. Stop immediately if unstable.

Chock Wheels: Always chock the wheels on the opposite end of the vehicle that is not being lifted.

Pre-Use Inspection: Check for hydraulic fluid leaks, inspect the frame and saddle for cracks, and test the release valve before loading.

Controlled Operation: Keep body clear of the handle’s swing path. Lower the load slowly and with full control using the release valve.

Bottom Line
A 4-ton trolley jack is the ideal heavy-duty choice for owners of trucks and large SUVs, providing the power, lift height, and stability needed for safe maintenance. It is a professional-grade lifting tool that demands respect. Its safe use is defined by one rule: it is only for lifting; jack stands are for supporting. Always follow the 3-step sequence: Chock > Jack > Stand.
